Labor and Work Practices

At Owens Corning we view creating safe and progressive work environments as not only a moral imperative, but the key to our continued success as an industry-leading global enterprise.
As a natural extension of this deeply rooted philosophy, in 2010 Owens Corning joined the United Nations Global Compact, which has 10 principles related to human rights, labor standards, environmental stewardship and anti-corruption.
Similarly, our Code of Business Conduct and Corporate Governance policies provide clear guidance on how to conduct business ethically and comply with all laws.
Fair Labor Practices
Owens Corning recognizes the rights of its employees to seek union representation or to remain self represented, and honors their choices. The company has forged productive relationships with unions and work councils throughout the world, and we value their partnership. Approximately 50 percent of our hourly employees are covered by collective bargaining agreements.
