Environmental Progress at a Glance
In 2010, two years ahead of schedule, Owens Corning met or exceeded three of our 2012 goals aimed at decreasing the environmental impacts of our operations.
Measuring our Environmental Footprint
We report our environmental footprint in terms of intensity, the amount for a specific quantity of output, along with absolute measurements. This is to ensure we're tracking true progress. For example, our absolute energy might decrease if we operate a plant at partial capacity, but our energy intensity may actually increase.
