Owens Corning Foundation
The Owens Corning Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization based in Toledo, Ohio. Since its inception in 1978, the Foundation has responded to the needs of its stakeholder communities. Established to enhance lives through charitable contributions, it champions programs that provide access to affordable housing and education for those most in need.
Matching Gift Program
The Foundation supports personal employee contributions to higher and secondary education through a matching gift program. The Foundation matches financial gifts up to U.S. $2,500 annually per employee. It also provides financial gifts to United Way giving campaigns in the U.S., an organization dedicated to improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world.
Scholarship Fund
In 2008, the Foundation created a scholarship fund for employees' children who are pursuing a degree in higher education. We awarded eight scholarships in 2010, totaling $20,000 in funds, to recent high school graduates and previous scholarship recipients for strong academic performance.
