The Owens Corning Foundation

The Owens Corning Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization based in Toledo, Ohio. Since the Owens Corning Foundation was established in 1978, it has been at work responding to the needs of its stakeholder communities. Established to enhance lives through charitable contributions, the foundation champions programs that provide access to education and affordable housing for those most in need.
The foundation supports personal employee contributions to higher and secondary education through a matching gift program. The foundation matches financial gifts up to $2,500 U.S. annually per employee. It also provides financial gifts to United Way giving campaigns in the U.S., increasing the impact of employee giving to causes that are most important to them.
During 2008, the foundation created a scholarship fund for employees’ children who are pursuing a degree in higher education. Scholarship awards are granted for $2,500 U.S., or the equivalent outside the U.S.
