• Back on Board - The Owens Corning plant in Fort Smith, Ark., received the Back on Board 2008 Award from the local United Way. The plant was recognized for reaching out to United Way, asking how it could become more active in the campaign and becoming a pacesetter company again
• United Way Pinnacle Award - Owens Corning was honored by the Greater Toledo United Way for its 2008 donations. The Pinnacle Award goes to corporate campaigns that raise more than $500,000 U.S. Owens Corning’s 2008 United Way campaign raised a record high of $740,000 U.S.
• Cornerstone Partner of the Year, Habitat for Humanity of Ohio - This award was given for significant contributions to advance the mission of Habitat for Humanity. Owens Corning and Habitat for Humanity of Ohio worked together to coordinate the delivery of donated shingles from Owens Corning affiliates in Ohio. The donation provided quality roofs for approximately 180 homes.
