Communities
Traditionally a "community" has been defined as a group of interacting people living in a common location. It is also often used to refer to a group that is organized around common values and social cohesion. We define our communities as neighbors to our operating locations, partners and other stakeholders. We need solid partnerships to thrive.
Our careful stewardship of the environment and our ability to offer jobs and community support are important to our relationship. While financial support is important, the contributions of our people are also valued by organizations in our communities. We are proud of the commitment of our volunteers around the globe and we encourage their activities, which range from service on the boards of community organizations to physical labor building homes and renovating facilities.
Such service to our communities is not surprising. Surveys conducted regularly within the company confirm that Owens Corning has an engaged workforce.
Quality products and services, along with commitments to
safety,
diversity and community service, make Owens Corning an attractive workplace for extraordinary talent.
